It’s the little man’s 1st birthday soon. I can’t believe this time last year we were making final preparations for his arrival, and now I’m making preparations for his birthday! Madness.

We’re not having anything big, just a little party at home with close family & friends. We’re doing this on the Sunday before his birthday though (his birthday is on a Tuesday) to cater for people who have to work during the week  – though hubby works Sundays too, but I will be making sure he books it off! The theme is ‘In The Night Garden’ – he loves it and always stops whatever he’s doing to watch it! I’ve produced the invites myself, with a little help from Photoshop and PicMonkey. I’m actually quite proud! Here is a sneak peek. 

I have a few things planned already, but I’m not going to reveal what they are or that will spoil the surprise… I just need to put the wheels in motion! 


We’ve decided his main present is most likely going to be a smart trike, though there are so many things I want to buy him! I can see him getting extremely spoiled, especially by his grandparents…


On his actual birthday we’re probably going to go to soft play and out for dinner or something, just some family time, just the three of us.
