Hi, I’m Stacey – the face behind Stacey in the Sticks, a Lincolnshire lifestyle blogger sharing a mix of rural life, books, creativity, and cosy moments.
I live in a tiny hamlet on the Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire border, a big change from my former life on a busy town estate. These days, I’ve swapped traffic noise for birdsong and fields, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
I’m 39 years old – though in my head I’m still 19, and my body sometimes feels 59! I like to joke that I’m a collector of health issues, including generalised anxiety disorder, depression, PCOS, and suspected ME/CFS. Sharing snippets of real life – both the highs and the hard bits – has always been part of what I do here.
I’m also a collector of hobbies. My biggest one is being a bookworm (or bookdragon, because I hoard them), and I share plenty of book reviews, reading inspiration, and everyday reflections here on the blog. I’m a proud Hufflepuff, a lifelong Take That fan, and a lover of all things creative.
Since moving to the countryside, I’ve fallen in love with gardening, slow living, and getting outdoors in nature. You’ll often find me pottering around in the garden, walking my dog, Barney, on the riverbank, or curled up with a good book and a cuppa when it rains (which, let’s face it, is often in Lincolnshire!).
Thanks for stopping by – I hope you enjoy this little peek into my rural life and creative world.
