Eisberg Sauvignon Blanc Alcohol Free Wine

I’ve had Eisberg before but can’t actually remember which one it was, so I was looking at this with fresh eyes. Considering it’s alcohol free, it does taste like wine – just a really sweet one! I found it was sweet enough to actually drink it all in one like a soft drink. Oops.

Capsicana Brazilian Chilli & Coconut Quick Cook Sauce

It’s not often I use cooking sauces nowadays as they are often high in syns and I do enjoy making my own, but I do like when I get one in the Degustabox as I am still sometimes lazy. Now, I’m a lover of spicy food, but goodness me; this one just about hit my spice threshold! It was a good flavour with the coconut coming through, but I think the spice intensity of it took away from the enjoyment.

HARIBO Summer Frenzy (Starmix Berry, Tangfastics Ice Cream Sorbet)

Who doesn’t love Haribo? This house definitely does! We always have some in the sweetie tub. I hadn’t seen these summer versions about though; they taste just as they say on the packet and are very moreish! Especially the Tangfastics that did taste like ice cream.

Spoon Apple & Peanut Granola

I love a granola, I will usually have a bit mixed with fruit & yogurt for breakfast. This one is so yummy. Really crunchy and the apple doesn’t overpower with sweetness or the peanut.

Original O’s Savoury Cumin and Sesame Nibbles

These are one of those savoury snacks that you think isn’t going to taste very nice, due to being made with a spice you’d usually use in a curry. But they were lovely; quite addictive actually. I find cumin is quite a mild spice anyway, so the flavour wasn’t too strong and complemented the sesame seeds sprinkled on top.

Walkers Pure Butter Shortbread Scottie Dogs

We love Walkers shortbread so had high expectations of this. It was delicious, as expected, but I felt a bit bad eating a dog… Very cute though, especially for sharing with kids! (Not that we did…ahem).

Light Bites – Mango with Vanilla Yoghurt Fruit Chips

It’s usually the boys that eat things like this but I really liked the sound of these, so I got to them first! They are basically freeze dried mango and freeze dried yoghurt (never come across that before!). The mango was lovely; the yoghurt was vanilla-y but a bit sweet for me, though it did have a good melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Light Bites – Superfood Fruit Bar

I do like a natural fruit goodness bar type thing, so I stole this before anyone else too. Filled with goji berries, quinoa, chia seeds, strawberries, blueberries, and pumpkin seeds, it was a whirlwind of tasty flavours!

Schwartz Authentic American Flavour  Mix (BBQ Pulled Chicken, Spicy Buffalo Wings)

I used the BBQ sachet in the slow cooker with a whole chicken, so different to what it suggests on the packet but it still worked. It wasn’t an overly strong BBQ flavour but still yummy and went well with a salad. The buffalo wing mix was spicier, but not so much that you can’t enjoy the taste. It was really delicious sprinkled on oven cooked crispy chicken wings!

Westons Cider (Rosie’s Pig Flat Tyre, Rosie’s Pig Handbrake)

I’m a bit more of a flavoured cider fan than the usual pear cider, so I always look forward to trying those that come in the Degustabox. The Flat Tyre version is made with rhubarb, and the Handbrake with damson. I thought I’d enjoy the rhubarb one more but I actually preferred the damson; I found it was a little less bitter, more sweet but not overly so.

Berrywhite Organic Drinks (Cranberry & Apple)

I remember receiving Berrywhite drinks in a previous Degustabox, but they were the tinned sparkling version rather than the still bottled. I don’t usually like cranberry flavoured drinks as I find them a bit tart, but this was very refreshing with the apple too.

ENRJ Drinks (Apple & Berries, Mango & Passion fruit)

These were a different type of energy drink to any I’ve had before; instead of being fizzy, they were still. The fruity flavours did come through, but it had a weird aftertaste from the caffeine. I preferred the mango & passion fruit of these two flavours.
