A straight on view of the Origin Hybrid Pro mattress label displaying its key details

Sleep is something I have struggled with over the last few years. Whether it’s due to insomnia, anxiety or The Husband snoring, it’s something I feel like I don’t get enough of. I suspect I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, so this is a factor, too. We also haven’t bought a new mattress in almost ten years, so it was definitely time for a new one. The Origin Hybrid Pro mattress came to my rescue!

Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress

As we were in the market for a new mattress and hoping to purchase one this year, I was excited to try out the Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress. We’ve only ever had a basic budget mattress, so it was peak adulthood for me when it arrived! Barney was excited too, as he spends more time in my bed than I do.

The Hybrid Pro is an upgrade from the Hybrid: it offers double the pressure relief and cooler, more tailored support for your sleep. I’ve started waking up with a bad back and having night sweats over the last couple of years, so this was a big plus point.

What’s included and what does it do?

There are so many luxury features and benefits of this mattress which aid in giving you a comfortable night’s sleep. It also comes in five sizes: single, small double, double, king, or super king.

There are nine comfort layers, including:

  • HexaGrid Plus™ enhanced pressure relief – an advanced polymer layer that offers 30% more pressure relief than standard foams
  • HexAdapt Pro™ pillowtop – the world’s first ultra-adaptive pillowtop. It offers 30% adaptive relief and a signature weightless feel
  • GraphiteCool™ ThermoLayer – this graphite-infused latex layer draws heat away 50% faster for cooler comfort all night long
  • BambooAir wool – this breathable bamboo-infused wool helps with natural temperature regulation
  • CoolFlex Comfort Foam – this gel-infused foam provides up to 3°C cooler, ultra-responsive comfort
  • AeroFlex MicroSprings – these microcoils boost the airflow for breathable, buoyant support
  • TitanCore Springs – the 5,700+ titanium springs help with pressure distribution, durability, and motion isolation

Most of these layers are exclusive to the Pro version of the Origin Hybrid mattress, so it is worth thinking about the upgrade.

What did I think?

Quite simply, I’ve been having the best sleep I’ve had in years. With suspected CFS, I’m prone to waking up with aches and pains and ending the day with them, so a comfortable sleep is important to me. I also use my bed for a rest during the day if needed, whether that be to read, watch TV, or catch up on emails and social media on my phone.

The motion isolation feature is one of the biggest positives for me as I’m a very light sleeper. I can wake up at the slightest movement, however, I don’t wake up half as much now as I used to which helps with feeling more rested in the morning (as much as I can anyway!) and ready to face the day. As I mentioned earlier I also regularly wake up sweating, but that hasn’t been happening as much either.

I truly believe this is one of the best investments you can make for a good night’s sleep, or if you have limited mobility and spend a lot of time in bed.

Stacey

I’m Stacey, a bookworm (or should that be dragon?!) from a quaint hamlet on the outskirts of Lincolnshire. In my late 30s, I’m a devoted mum to two wonderful boys who are both autistic—a unique aspect that makes them different, not less. I also share my home with my husband and Barney, my lovable Frenchie x Beagle.
