In our house it is mostly me that reads books to the boys, even at bed time. We will also take some time out during the day though to sit down and read, especially when they are getting a little boisterous! Sometimes however, they just need Daddy to read, particularly when it is a book about how much I Love My Daddy.

Find out why each dad deserves his shiny star in this concentric, colourful book of giving. Bright artwork from Fhiona Galloway and a cheerful rhyming story makes learning come alive.

The boys were sent this book last month to show Daddy how much they love him, though not just on Father’s Day, but every day of course. As I read to them the majority of the time, it’s nice to see them all sat together even with a simple book like this.

I love the star theme throughout the book so the child can tell their Daddy why they deserve their star for a number of different activities, such as fixing their toy car, winning a running race, and teaching them how to fly a kite. The star features on every page with the addition of a star shaped finger hole so the child can also join in with getting through the book. The story is in rhymes which I always love as I find it gives real character to reading a book.

As usual with My Little World books, the pictures on every single page are bright, colourful and cheerful throughout to really keep the child’s attention – and Daddy’s of course! The story ends with Daddy telling the child that out of everything, they are the star he loves the most. Wonderful! 🙂
