Over the last few weeks I have been going on a ‘Fit 2 Grow’ course with the boys, and a few other Mummies and their children. It’s involved soft play from Ballpool Heaven, healthy snack times and a crafty activity (which J has absolutely loved). As well as spending some quality time with the boys it’s also regularly got us out of the house, and we will be going regularly to soft play sessions in the New Year too. At the end of the course, we had a Christmas trip organised for us which involved a walk around Normanby Hall Country Park (where we have only visited in the summer so this was a different experience) and then a trip to Brigg Garden Centre to see Santa.

We were hoping the rain would hold off which it didn’t, though it did stop as we were leaving. Nonetheless, I stuck mine & J’s wellies on as I knew there would be some puddle jumping! But there wasn’t only puddle jumping; there was also door knocking (J was a bit stunned by how big the door was), tree climbing (he was a bit wary but tried with Mummy’s help), deer spotting (we saw one from a great distance) and duck spotting (I say spotting because nobody took anything to feed them with, but J loves ducks so he was just running after them)!
We had a great time and I only wish I could drive as I would take the boys more often when hubby is at work – especially when N is walking and running around, it will be so much fun!

The picture of him looking up towards the tree is a great shot, he looks captivated. Thanks for linking up with Country Kids.

  3. This looks like great fun, and sometimes the rain can be good fun when you put your wellies on. That door is massive! #CountryKids

  4. I love walks like this, as much as winter can be a bit annoying layering it up there is something so snuggly about it and being out in the sun but with a cold nose is quite an enjoyable experience, it certainly looks like you had a lovely time. Thank you for linking up to #magicmoments.
