The Olympic Meme

Thank you to Emmy’s Mummy for passing the Olympic torch over to me!

1. If every day tasks were Olympic events what would you get a gold medal in?
Cleaning & sterilising bottles! I can practically do it on autopilot now I have my little routine set out.

2. As a child (or now even) did you excel at a particular sport and if so which one?
I wasn’t really into sports at school – I had the “last person to get picked for a team” syndrome! I did enjoy netball though and was always goalkeeper!

3. Michael Phelps (swimmer) or Michael Johnson (runner) – which sport appeals to you more?
Now this is an easy one for me – running! As I can’t swim, I always avoided swimming lessons at school, I hated it! Though now I wish I hadn’t. I started the Couch to 5k running programme last year and really enjoyed it, I hope to get back into it soon.

4. How fast can you get out of bed and ready to go out the door if you miss the alarm and sleep in?
Pre-baby days, it would have been probably 15 minutes! Nowadays, I’d need to get little man ready, and me, so probably 20-30 minutes, once I’ve got us both dressed and a bottle sorted! I usually have nappies and a change of clothes in my bag so wouldn’t need to sort that out.

5. What fantasy sport would you like to see made into an Olympic event?
Inventing, baking, and decorating cupcakes! I love it!

6. Claim to fame time – Have you ever met an Olympian and who was it?
No. I know of some Olympians, but I probably wouldn’t realise it at the time!

7. What event in past Olympics can you remember most vividly?
I haven’t really watched many Olympics, I only really became interested in the last lot of games, and nothing major, that I can remember, from then.

8. Tuning in at home, not for me, or tickets clamped ready in sweaty palms?
Tuning in at home. I didn’t apply for tickets, but have been trying to win some with no success!

9. Who do you think most deserves a gold medal? (Any walk of life, not just Olympians)
My mother in law. She has been diagnosed with breast cancer, had chemotherapy, a mastectomy, lost all of her hair, and came through the other side. She has recently been diagnosed that it has come back in her lymph glands but is battling on for her Grandson.
