Find a place to grow

The best place to start with your garden is to find the best place in your home to put the indoor garden. The best place to choose is going to be one that will offer sufficient light for the style of plants you are going to go for, and one that will not have any cold drafts that could affect your plants growth. The truth of it is though you can create the garden anywhere in your home as you can turn any room into a grow room, you can get grow room fans and grow room lights which will mean you can turn even a closet into an indoor garden. Once you have chosen your space then make sure you measure it all properly in case you need to have anything fitted and you need to know when getting your planters for the garden.

Water the plants correctly

How often the plants are going to be watered will depend on how the temperature is in the room you choose and the humidity, it will also come down to what sort of plants you choose. For example if you are growing sage then that will not need much water, but if you are looking at growing, for example, a lettuce then that would need plenty of water. When setting up your garden you need to make sure you allow for your plants to have good drainage, so make sure there are holes at the bottom of your plant pots, also small stones in the bottom of the pots can help to stop water pooling at the roots of your plants.

If you are unsure if you need to water your plants then you can do a few checks. Feel the soil from the bottom of the container so you can feel if it is moist, lift the pot and see how it feels weight wise as moist ones will feel heavier, look for any dying or wilting leaves, and finally think about purchasing a water monitoring device.

If you are looking to get a garden in your home and you are unsure whether it is something you can do or how you can do it, then hopefully, these few tips will give you an idea of what to do and how to get started.
