In our little family I absolutely love taking pictures, even though hubby is usually either pulling a silly face or I can’t get a decent one of little man as he’s always on the move! I have so many photos stored on my laptop but hardly any on display as I just never get around to getting them printed, so when I was given the opportunity to review a canvas from CanvasDesign.co.uk I was delighted as I also love canvas prints. It took me forever to choose a photo but in the end I chose this one of little man which I took on our first family holiday to Scotland when he was 6.5 months old:
I didn’t specify a size I wanted so I was shocked when this huge parcel arrived, very quickly too. It was very well packaged with a thick cardboard layer covered in ‘fragile’ tape, followed by another, and then wrapped in bubble wrap, meaning it also arrived in perfect condition. (The packaging has been partly removed here as I was too excited to get it open before taking photos!).
The size of canvas we received was 30×20 inches so as you can imagine we had to find a fairly big clear space to put it. We decided on pride of place above our dining table – also meaning little man can stare at himself whilst eating!
For this size canvas in a landscape format, the cost is £29.99 which I would be quite happy to pay as the quality is also amazing – in this photo little man had a bit of a dry snotty nose and I can even see that from the other side of the room!
My rating – 5/5

When I was offered the opportunity to review a personalised poster from Paper Themes, I jumped at the chance because I love personalised items, and am always looking for lovely things to add around the home. There are a choice of 50 prints on the website so it was hard to choose, but I eventually cut it down to 3 prints and finally decided on the Stork Blue poster for little man’s room.
The poster came well packaged in a cardboard tube, and was wrapped in tissue paper with a lovely sticker on it:
Obviously the poster arrived rolled up, so it’s still a bit curly on the corners. I was expecting the paper to be a little thicker for the price of £25, and the whole thing a little bigger, but maybe that one was just me not taking proper notice of the size on the product description. The print quality is brilliant though, and I love the lettering style.
You can have up to 14 lines of personalised text about the child. On my poster we have his name, his DOB, where he was born, his weight, time of birth, the price of a first class stamp, the prime minister, number one song, the Chinese symbolic year, his birth flower, his birth stone, Mondays child, his Grandparents names, and our own little quote at the bottom, so you can fit quite a lot on there! There is also a cute baby & stork image in the centre. It’s a lovely keepsake for years to come when they wish to know about the world at the time they were born.
I think the poster is a little too flimsy to be put up on the wall on its own, so I will be putting it in a frame and hanging it proudly on little man’s wall in his bedroom.
