Is he a girl? Or is he a boy?…

“Is he a girl?” No, of course I haven’t been asked that question directly. It would be ‘Is it a girl?’ But four times now, has my son been referred to as a girl. Three of those, were all in as many weeks very recently! The first time, was when we had just moved into our flat. The Virgin Media engineer had come to install our phone line and TV etc., and he had to drill a hole in the wall, which made little man cry, as he was only 6 months old and obviously still scared of new noises. Eczema

As I posted about yesterday, I had a visit to the doctors – little man had one right after me.  For a while now he has had a sore, dry, red patch on his left cheek, and it’s just started appearing on his right one too. It very occasionally appears elsewhere on his body. Some days it’s very bright, others you can barely see it. I didn’t think anything of it until the health visitor mentioned it when we took him to get weighed once, and said she would give us a prescription for some cream next time she saw …

Fun in the park

The week before last we took little man to the park. We walk past it every time we go to & from baby clinic/stay & play, but have never stopped before, but now he is obviously more alert & aware, we thought we would pop in and see what he thought to it. Obviously he is limited at the minute to what he can play on, but we managed the baby swings, the bouncy fire engine, the slide, a see saw type thing,  and a thing …

Tots100/Printerpix photo competition

Tots100 are currently running a family photo competition, with £600 worth of prizes up for grabs! You can enter if you are a registered Tots100 blogger, but it closes tomorrow, so be quick! More details can be found here.  I am entering the “Babies under 2” category. This was taken on our first ever family holiday to Scotland last year – this is at the Highland Wildlife Park. It’s sentimental for us because we love going there and couldn’t wait to take our son to one of Mummy & Daddy’s favourite places! I love this photo because it’s not very …

Counselling – take 3

On Friday I went for another counselling session.  For some reason I was nervous again before going in; I think this was because I was seeing a different person to whom I saw last year. This time it was a female, but I had no reason to be nervous as she was lovely and made me feel at ease straight away.  We mainly discussed the miscarriage and how I had been feeling since then, as I think it’s what triggered most of the old feelings again. I was surprised that she didn’t know the statistics – that 1 in 4 women will …
