Our Christmas

It’s a little late, but here is our Christmas update for 2013! I really enjoyed the run up to Christmas this year, especially as little man has been so much more aware than he was last year, when he didn’t have a clue really! The preparations involved putting up the tree & decorations, making salt dough decorations, taking little man to see Santa Claus, and organising his treat bag for Christmas Eve!  Christmas Eve this year was a day of last minute preparations – the first year I have been so unorganised! I had presents left to wrap, and I had to …

Visiting Santa

On Wednesday we took little man for his first visit to see Santa. I had been debating it as he didn’t go last year for his first Christmas, but I didn’t want to take him this year just in case he was scared and I ended up wasting money (mean Mummy I know!). In the end my Mum twisted my arm, as were going to take him to see the reindeer anyway so I thought we may as well go whilst we were there. I had seen lots of photos of the Santa and Winter Wonderland at our local garden …

Little man’s latest

I’ve recently realised I don’t update on little man’s learning & experiences as much as I should, so I’m going to start doing so more. It’s been a long time since I have updated on him!  He has learned a few new words/phrases since my last update.  hot (from us telling him not touch things because they are hot)  cat (he loves sitting at the window looking for cats)  Lily (his girlfriend next door – he spends his days calling her name and looking out of the window for her!) gog (for dog) there (when I ask him where something …

Little clothes for little man

With little man growing & growing every day, I love buying him new clothes – in fact, he gets more clothes than hubby & I do! As a family, we need to buy quality but affordable clothing, so I’m always looking for new places and recommendations – both online & offline – to purchase from. I shop on the high street sometimes, but I much prefer shopping online; it’s so much easier and I am able to shop around at my leisure, with nobody getting in my way and me getting frustrated – I am not the most patient person …

Where’s baby?

When we were lucky enough to fall pregnant again, I had decided that I wanted little man to know he was going to be a big brother from as early on as possible.  Since we discovered I was pregnant, I’ve been telling him that he’s going to be a big brother; I know he probably won’t quite understand this concept yet, but he has been around newborn/young babies, so I’m hoping he’s going to be gentle when berry arrives. As well as telling him about the baby, I’ve been showing him where it is, pointing to my belly. Not long …
