  • 1.2-1.5kg pork shoulder (all visible fat removed)

  • 1 large onion, sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • Salt and black pepper

  • 200ml passata

  • 2-3 tbsp Slimming World–friendly BBQ sauce (or a low-syn alternative)

How to Make Slimming World BBQ Pulled Pork (Slow Cooker)

  1. Place the sliced onion and garlic into the bottom of the slow cooker.

  2. Rub the pork shoulder with the paprika, smoked paprika, garlic granules, salt and pepper.

  3. Place the pork on top of the onions and pour over the passata.

  4. Spoon the BBQ sauce over the pork, spreading it evenly.

  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 5-6 hours, until the pork is tender and pulls apart easily.

  6. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred using two forks.

  7. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir through the sauce.

  8. Leave on low for a further 20-30 minutes to let everything combine.
