Slimming World – weigh in #8

After my previous two rubbish weeks and going off plan a bit, I was determined that I was going to do a bit better this week. It didn’t happen though – in fact I was much the same! With cake club on Thursday and fish & chips at my father-in-law’s on Friday, and then Sunday dinner at my brother-in-law’s with Yorkshire puddings and non-SW friendly roasties, I was quite positively expecting a maintain or even a gain! Little man N at 1 year old!

I can’t quite believe the time for this particular update has finally come around – it feels like only a couple of months ago that I wrote his first one! So as it is, my little baby boy is now one year old, and veering away from being a baby and turning into a cheeky little toddler instead. When I first heard about overnight oats – basically cold porridge – I wasn’t too sure about the idea. We’re used to hot oatmeal (which you can even make in a rice cooker). I’ll admit, the first couple of times I tried it, I wasn’t so keen. But after a bit of experimenting, this combination of ingredients and the container make them just beautiful, and they’re one of my favourites now – the boys seem to love them too!

First birthday celebrations – little man N turns 1!

On Sunday my littlest guy finally turned one year old. The past year has gone so quick, much quicker than it did with J. All of Saturday I was reminiscing about my day of on/off labour; there may have been a few tears as my labour and home birth was pretty much perfect and I would do it all again in a heart beat (if I wanted to, that is!).
