Packing for a Scottish Highland holiday

landscape view of The Silver Sands of Morar in the Scottish Highlands; Packing for a Scottish Highlands holiday

Source I’ve written previously about my love of Scottish Highland cottage holidays; pre-children, we visited just about every year from 2007 onward, but we’ve only visited once since J was born, and that’s when he was six months old, so not really too active. That time we also went with my mum and stepfather, so we had the opportunity to explore on our own – we’ll probably have to wait until they’re all grown up for a relaxing holiday now! We were recently saying that we’re getting withdrawal symptoms so we may visit for an annual holiday next year, though …

Little man J turns 3 – two day birthday bash!

A week ago today J turned three years old – I’ve finally started to come to terms with the fact that he’s no longer a baby and is growing into a proper little boy. Minion partyware from Party Bags & Supplies | Review

We decided this year that for Jacob’s third birthday we were just going to have a little pizza party at home on his actual birthday, then the day after (Friday) we would go a local pub for a meal and soft play with family & friends. This pack is for 8 so you get a plastic table cover, paper …

I would have been twelve years old and science or solar eclipses weren’t on my mind at that time… I don’t even remember what I was doing at the exact time it happened, most likely at school?! Anyway, I’m sure I’ll remember exactly what I was doing at the time of this one in 2015, as I was showing J the different ways of seeing it safely! I also had a go at explaining it to him, though in simple terms as he’s …

Slimming World weigh in #9 – the one with two awards!

After my last few rubbish weeks I decided that this week I was going to be right back on track as I was determined to get that one stone shiny! And this week I was back on track. I synned everything I should have, stopped stealing the boys’ food, stayed within my syns every day and ate healthy home cooked meals all week. I felt much better for it too. I also noticed my clothes have started to get a little baggy so I decided to measure myself and since measuring at the beginning of February I have lost 1.5 inches …
