Apple & blackberry crumble traybake | Recipe

I’ve been a really bad food blogger this year – I think I’ve only posted one recipe! I have blogged foodie reviews, but I’ve not really had the mojo for creating. I’m hoping now that The Bake Off is back, the mojo will return. I’m also happy to see that Jenny over at Mummy Mishaps has brought back the Bloggers Bake Off linky! I never got around to joining in biscuit week, as the boys had just gone back to school and Noah was only doing two hours a day. But of course I had to join in with one of my …

Home-made Scotch eggs | Recipe

Often seen as a guilty pleasure, Scotch eggs can also be a great on-the-go snack or protein-packed addition to a picnic. As well as protein, Scotch eggs are also high in choline – a nutrient that helps regulate brain and nerve function and keep energy levels high. Mini Egg mousse pots | Recipe (Slimming World friendly)

Easter can be a hard time for Slimming World members, especially if you’re partial to a bit lot of chocolate. Plus all of the delicious desserts including Creme Eggs and the such that come with it. One of my favourite Easter treats are Mini Eggs – not so good when I could …

Chicken & broccoli pasta bake | Recipe (Slimming World friendly)

A pasta bake is a great staple meal for Slimming World members, and I’ve previously shared a few on the blog. This one doesn’t create much washing up as there is no pre-cooking on the hob of anything other than the pasta. It’s a “throw it all in, and sit back and wait” dish! I’ve used dried breadcrumbs to top this one instead of cheese; they add a bit of crunch. You could top it with cheese, too, if you like, using your healthy extra or synning it.

Super quick & easy tasty tomato soup | Recipe (Slimming World friendly)

Now autumn has well & truly made itself shown and winter is on the way, I’ve been eating a lot of soup. I make my soup in bulk, portion it up, and freeze it. I usually have a stock of at least three different soups in there; that way I’m not eating the same kind every day. I take one out in the morning to defrost, then just thoroughly reheat. Voila! This tomato soup is completely syn free, and the tinned ingredients used make it super thick & creamy. It tastes practically like a famous brand of tomato soup too; …
