My regular readers will know I recently started posting about my mission to lose weight and get healthy & fit again. It’s hard work (especially with me having PCOS) but one of my main forms of exercise – actually the only one at the minute – is walking. I don’t drive so when I want to go out when hubby is at work then I have to walk. I don’t mind though as it’s great to get some fresh air, and great for the boys too. The new pedometer which I have been testing out has encouraged me to walk a bit …
Weight loss – week 7
I’m a bit late this week as I’ve had a lot on and only just remembered to write this post. I still weighed in on Monday though so I’m good to go with sharing my weigh in result. Last week wasn’t as bad as it could have been eating wise, but then it could have been better too. I’m still not back on track with logging my food which is the thing that’s really letting me down. I don’t think I so much ate the wrong things last week, just maybe a little too much of the good things. I …
Little man J at 2 years 6 months old
I can’t quite believe that J is now 2 and a half years old – I will have a 3 year old in less than 6 months! (And also a one year old!). He is continuing to thrive & develop so much, I’ve probably said it before but as much as he is testing, he amazes me every single day. His independence is continuing to grow and he now tries to put his shoes on and take them off. If he’s wearing velcro shoes then he can just about unfasten them, though he hasn’t mastered pulling them off yet – though …
Rocky road chocolate pizza | Recipe
I have previously bought a chocolate pizza a couple of times for my husband, for birthday and Christmas, but they are brilliant to give as a gift to a chocoholic for any celebration really. Instead of buying yet another one, I decided to make one myself and it turned out really great! They are so easy to make as it just involves melting some chocolate and sticking other chocolate or sweets onto it. With no cooking required (other than the melting of the chocolate) it is something that is fab to get the children involved with too – especially for …
Foodie Penpals – September reveal
This month my foodie penpals parcel came from Tracey over at It’s not easy being greedy (how great is that blog name?!). Month after month I continue to be excited at what might be in my parcel, as although I give pretty much the same ‘requests’ every time, everybody has different ideas and come from different places so I always get something I haven’t tried yet – and often I get something I really want too! Anyway, on with the contents for this month. Up first, the more sweet items: hazelnut & raisin dark chocolate square. I’m usually a milk chocolate …
