Review – Equazen eye q chews (for children)

Omega-3 and Omega-6 fish oils are an important part of a healthy diet for both children & adults alike. Hubby & I love fish and regularly have ‘Fish Friday’ as part of our meals so I’m confident that we get a substantial amount. J on the other hand, the only type of fish he will eat is that of the finger variety, covered in bread crumbs. I know it’s not ideal, but it’s better than nothing! (I do keep trying). Due to this, when I was recently invited to try Equazen eye q chews for children I thought it would be a …

Living a healthy lifestyle

Source Living a healthy lifestyle is of great importance in this day & age due to the rise & rise of obesity. I’m ashamed to say that I fit this category, but if you have been reading the blog recently, you will have noticed that I am trying to live a healthy lifestyle to lose weight. 101 reasons not to go on a boating holiday

I recently posted about our annual holiday, this year to The Norfolk Broads. I mentioned that I would be writing a post about why a boating holiday is not for me. I don’t think I really need to give much introduction, so here goes (in no particular order): not having a proper shower (a trickily little thing, with not enough room to swing a mouse, let alone a cat) the toilet literally being in the shower – if you want a pee, you have to get wet feet if you also want to stay clean needing a step ladder to climb onto …

Weight loss – week 6

After my big loss last week I wasn’t really expecting a huge loss this week, if any at all. Meal planning helped me get back into some form of a routine again, and eating salad again helped as I wasn’t eating so many carbs. I’m going to start sticking to more of a Gi diet now too as it will help a bit more because of the PCOS. I didn’t really use MFP again last week like i said I was going too, but I don’t think I did too bad as I’m getting back into the mindset of thinking before I eat …

Meal Planning Monday – 22nd September

I’m enjoying being back into meal planning mode, and using up many of the items in my cupboard which I receive from my foodie penpals. Hubby even cooked one day last week – Wednesday! It mostly went to plan other than Friday & Saturday. We were out a little late on Friday and by the time we got home I couldn’t be bothered to cook so I just whipped up beans on toast for J (oops) and we had a cheeky takeaway once he had gone to bed (double oops). So on Saturday we had Friday’s meal as I’d already taken the …
