Last year I found a group over on Facebook called Embrace Happy (you can also find posts on Instagram under the hashtag #embracehappy). It is the brainchild of the lovely Karin from Cafe Bebe and it has so many followers. I started off well and then I fell into depression and totally swept it aside. Well this year, is going to be my year, and I’m going to stick with it. The motto of the Embrace Happy group is: “Not every day is good but there is good in every day” And it’s oh so true. I am still having a lot of …
Favourite & popular blog posts of 2014
As we welcome 2015, I thought it would be a good time to look back on my favourite and most popular posts of 2014. I have had mega happy posts, and I’ve also had awfully depressive posts (literally). I’ve started heading the way of food blogging and the recipes seem to be going down well – I hope to post even more this year though. I’ve also been lucky enough to receive some great items to review – just one of the perks! Favourites One of my favourite reviews of this year was the Snoozle maternity slide sheet – I only wish …
Reflections on the year that was 2014
It’s the end of the year 2014 and a time to reflect on how it has been. Like years past, it has had its fair share of ups & downs but I have kept on battling through with the help of my husband and a few friends who have been there through it all. We started January by realising that this was the year we were actually going to become parents again …
Our Christmas 2014
I’m a little bit late as I’ve hardly been around since Christmas, or have been busy sorting ‘things’ that we seem to have accumulated a lot of this year! For me, the Christmas period has seemed really long this year. I’m not sure if it’s because we started doing Christmas activities in November or because Buddy came to visit for most of December, but once Christmas & Boxing Day was out of the way, the majority of our decorations came down. I’ve kept all of my signs and our cards up but they’ll come down once New Year has been and gone. Christmas Eve Hubby was …
Review – Old El Paso
Hubby & I both love Mexican food and although I do love cooking from scratch, sometimes it’s nice to be able to just throw something together from a packet when I’m feeling tired or lazy, and especially when it’s from a brand like Old El Paso. We have used quite a few products from Old El Paso before but we were sent the following items to review, the majority of which I have not tried before: crispy chicken mix chilli seasoning mix wholewheat tortilla wraps corn tortilla wraps squeezy soured cream squeezy red jalapeno relish We hadn’t had fajitas for a …
