I’m having a break for a few days over Christmas to spend some quality time with my little family, so there are a few scheduled posts (maybe I can get into this routine in the New Year too!). I’m not sure who will be reading today as I should hope you are spending time with your families too, but I would just like to wish all of my readers a very merry Christmas and I hope Santa has been good to you! See you in a few days!
Elf on the Shelf adventures (days 17-24)
So this is the final week that buddy has enjoyed with us. It’s been quite hard finding different things for him to every day as we just don’t have the time, I don’t know how other people do it! So it’s mainly been a case of hiding him somewhere for J to find. He has still enjoyed it though and gets excited when he finds him. I’m not sure how he’s going to be when Buddy has gone though, I imagine he’ll still look for him for a while! So here’s what Buddy has been up to in his final …
Our Christmas decor
Up until a couple of years ago my Christmas decor included a lot of pink & silver. I used to be obsessed with everything pink but nowadays I’m not so fussed. When J came along and we started getting decorations relating to him and his name, I decided that I wanted to go for a more traditional, ‘collected along the way’, homely look. Inside our Christmas Eve bags
Making up a Christmas Eve bag was a tradition which we started last year. Many people have boxes but I bought some lovely small sacks from Bump n Babe with the boys names on, which are great to double up as Santa sacks too. J wasn’t too fussed last year and stopped as soon he found the edible things, but I’m hoping he’ll be more interested this year! Obviously N won’t have a clue though, but I’m sure J will help him. Buddy will be bringing them this year, for his final gift before he heads back to the North Pole. So what’s …
A winter walk
Over the last few weeks I have been going on a ‘Fit 2 Grow’ course with the boys, and a few other Mummies and their children. It’s involved soft play from Ballpool Heaven, healthy snack times and a crafty activity (which J has absolutely loved). As well as spending some quality time with the boys it’s also regularly got us out of the house, and we will be going regularly to soft play sessions in the New Year too. At the end of the course, we had a Christmas trip organised for us which involved a walk around Normanby Hall Country Park (where …
