I was feeling really great last week after walking away from group with a (very rare at the moment) loss of 1.5lb. I felt like I was right back on track, and I have been, mostly… There always seems to be one day a week where I can’t help myself but eat junk (usually at the weekend!), and this week it was Saturday when we had a few naughty munchies to eat whilst watching the Eurovision! Slimming World weigh in #63 – the one where I’m back on track…

After my post-holiday weigh-in last week, I was raring to go and ready for a loss this week. I’ve been on plan since we came back from holiday, and I found it quite easy to get right back into it, more so than I thought. We went to my brother-in-law’s for dinner on Saturday, and I might have eaten a whole pizza – piglet! I was right back on plan on Sunday, though and managed to get a lot of speed food to balance the naughty.

Thanks to A Strong Coffee and her recipe for a walnut cake using coconut oil, I have recently discovered how excellent coconut oil is! I’ve had an unopened jar sitting in my cupboard for months, and the first time I used it was a couple of weeks ago when I made the walnut cake. It was delicious, and using natural coconut oil rather than butter made it even better, as it added flavour with natural goodness.

I mentioned in my last weigh in update that we were going on holiday last week so there wouldn’t be one, but we’re back now and I’ve been for my post holiday weigh in! One snack that is really popular in our house is a biscuit, and since I started Slimming World I haven’t eaten them like I used to. Well, unless I’ve been having a particularly bad week that is and I delve into the biscuit barrel… I know I can make Slimming World friendly biscuits but sometimes I just can’t beat the taste of a custard cream.
