Little man J turns 3 – two day birthday bash!
A week ago today J turned three years old – I’ve finally started to come to terms with the fact that he’s no longer a baby and is growing into a proper little boy. We decided that rather than have a larger party at home like he has the past couple of years, that we would just have a mini pizza party at home on his actual birthday – the Thursday – then have a soft play/pub party with some friends on the Friday. I first wrote about J and potty training when he was two years old – so nearly a year ago – and we have been on & off with it ever since. We reviewed Dry Like Me potty training pads back in the summer last year but we didn’t get very far with them as he just wasn’t showing much interest. Sharing a room – an update!
You may have read last month that we were making preparations to move the boys into the same bedroom. Our main reason for this was – and maybe it was a bit selfish on our part – that we wanted our bedroom back! After having a child in there for nearly three years (in a cot, and then a co-sleeping toddler until N was born) we just wanted ‘our’ bit of space back.
