At the moment we are two babies up (plus our angel of course) with no plans for more in the foreseeable future. Don’t get me wrong, I love babies, I really do – otherwise I wouldn’t have had any… – but in a kind of bittersweet way I am glad that the baby days are ending and we can have so many adventures together now. I do occasionally get broody, but if I get really desperate I could just borrow a baby, right? I don’t think there is ever a time when one of my friends is not pregnant; so many …
Slimming World weigh in #40 – the one where I’m back in the game…
Once again, it’s been a few weeks since I posted my last update. Since then, I’ve been sticking to writing everything down – even if I know it’s over my syns, as I’ve wanted to be completely accountable to myself. I have had a few occasions when I have been quite naughty with snacking but apart from that I have been pretty much on plan. This might have been helped by the fact that I sat down with my magazines and recipes I have saved, and wrote down a whole month of evening meals in order to make meal planning …
Review – Ideal Home Show at Christmas
I shared with you last week some information about the Ideal Home Show at Christmas and after waiting rather (im)patiently all week, on Thursday we finally made the trip to Manchester to start off our Christmas adventures! I had originally booked a train for the unworthy hour of 7am, I was going to take J with me, and hubby was going to stay at home with N. But when we got to the station…the train had been cancelled! (So glad I got insurance on that ticket). Cue me getting upset because I had promised J a journey on the train and …
Are You a Boy or are You a Girl? | Book review
Many of my friends and most likely some of my readers will know that I completely believe in gender neutrality. That is, I am completely okay with my boys doing things such as wanting to try on my shoes, or play with what are considered girl’s toys. They have a doll they regularly play with and dress up, for example, and I have photos of them wearing my shoes! All it is down to, is imagination. Just because boys do these things, or girls want to do want are considered boy things (like play football) doesn’t mean they will grow …
Little man N at 1 year 8 months old
It’s been so long since I’ve posted an update for N – 3 months in fact! What with my impromptu blog break, then trying to catch up, then having to take another impromptu break when we moved and were without Internet… But hopefully I am finally getting back on track now! So N hasn’t been officially weighed for a long time but both boys like getting on the scales at home when I do, and it seems N is just over 2 stone heavy – only a stone lighter than his brother, yikes! He is a proper gannet though, but …
