Was anybody lucky enough to receive a bottle of a certain gorgeous Irish tipple from Santa? Well if not, then you may just want to buy some anyway for this delicious recipe. I actually made this for one of our bake club meetings earlier in the year, with the theme being ‘a surprise’. The surprise hidden inside this cheesecake is an absolutely perfect match to the Baileys Chocolat Luxe and it adds to the creaminess. I guarantee you will want to go back for seconds with this, although it is rather sweet & sickly, but then all great things are! Ingredients …
Giveaway – 1 of 20 Olive it! recipe books (CLOSED)
I haven’t always been a fan of olives. I still can’t eat them on their own, but I don’t mind if they are served with something else. I don’t eat them often either but after being introduced to the Olive It! recipe book then they might be a more regular inclusion in my food choices. There are some really delicious looking recipes inside that I would have never thought to try before, for example the red-hot tapenade manchego whirls (I was sold on cheese), olive and tuna pate, and olives with mango, melon and pomegranate (yummy). Olives on their own …
Craft tutorial – Egg box Christmas trees
We’ve been doing quite a few Christmas crafts this month – mainly stolen from Pinterest I will admit – but this one I just thought up when I bought some eggs in a green box. Egg box Christmas trees! (Obviously with a plain egg box they would need painting too). It does involve a little adult help for cutting the cones from the egg box and possibly putting the glue on them, but the sticking allows children to be creative with their trees and makes a very simple enjoyable activity. This is suitable for pre-schoolers and toddlers, as even Noah …
Slimming World weigh in #43 and #44 – the one where I get my 3 stone!
Once again I forgot to post my last weigh in update, and that was the one I really wanted to post! After my last update I was still back on it, writing everything down, even if I went over my syns. And I think most of us do regularly at some point, but I know I can usually pull it back if I’m in the right place. I was really determined to get that 3 stone so I was meal planning too and eating lots of speed food, and it seemed to work. I wasn’t in group last week though as I was …
Citrussy winter warmer drinks with Robinsons
I don’t know about you, but I find that in the winter I tend to drink a lot less water because I don’t feel as thirsty due to it being so cold, brr! Well, unless you count multiple cups of coffee…but then, caffeine isn’t all that great for you either. We should still drink lots of water through the winter though as although it is not in the slightest bit warm (here in the UK anyway!), we can actually still become very dehydrated if we don’t keep our fluids topped up. Cordial is a really great way to do this, …
