Can you believe that I’ve never been to a Christmas market? Well not properly, anyway. I’ve walked through one but it was a fleeting visit so I didn’t get a chance to have a good look around. It’s one thing I’d like to tick off my bucket list though, so maybe next year! There are so many to choose from in the UK; Lincoln, York, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Manchester are just a few of the ones I’m aware of. Talking about dying and what happens after isn’t something anyone really wants to do – especially at this time of year. It’s still considered a taboo subject, particularly in Western society. But it’s something that comes to all of us or someone we know, at some point. Some deaths are expected and we have time to prepare, but what about those that come suddenly and completely unexpected? What do we do then if we’re the closest person to the one who has died?
Meccano – such a classic toy, isn’t it? It’s been around for so many years and is constantly evolving. I’ve never had any myself; it’s not really something I’ve ever been into, if I’m honest. Now when I say wicked, I don’t mean wicked as in evil wicked; I mean wicked as in awesome wicked. Which is exactly what Wicked Uncle are. Especially for last minute Christmas shopping! I’m almost done with mine, but I do have a few little bits still to get this week. I am not usually as unorganised as this – I’m normally all done with wrapping by now! Luckily the boys still have another four days at school, so hopefully I’ll manage to get some done then.
