Review – Ozeri Elite Chef ceramic knife set

You may remember I recently reviewed the Stone Earth Pan by Ozeri and fell in love with it. I was recently invited to review the Ozeri Elite Chef Black Ceramic 3-Piece Knife Set and obviously couldn’t refuse! Because I do a lot of cooking from scratch with fresh ingredients, I use my knifes an awful lot. I already owned an inexpensive plastic handled serrated set, and another mid range set – what you would call ‘proper’ knifes with the metal going through the handle – but I had never heard of ceramic knives before I came across these. After reading the description I couldn’t …

Review – Sterimar (baby & congestion relief)

No matter what the season – spring, summer, autumn or winter – someone in our household always has a cold. It’s usually me, I think I have a weak immune system. The feeling of having a blocked nose is awful [majorly annoying] for me, never mind for babies who can’t really communicate and need their nose to breathe through. I was recently invited to test out Sterimar. Sterimar is a natural sea water nasal spray which can be used to provide relief from and help to clear up congestion, colds, allergies, rhinitis, sinusitis and rhino-pharyngitis. We tested two of the products …

Feeding the ducks

Yesterday was a lovely day here in North Lincolnshire and it was hubby’s day off work, so instead of the mundane tasks around the house that we had originally planned, instead we decided to take J to feed the ducks and have a picnic by the river. Feeding ducks is one of J’s favourite activities and he loves to carry the bag of bread to the car and keeps hold of it all the way there. Recently we even discovered that ducks like sweetcorn! (We were going on the way home from Nanna’s and she had no bread so gave …

#VlogChallenge Week 2 – Fashion/Beauty

Even though I found the first #VlogChallenge from last week embarrassing (which was actually from the week before, I’m a bit behind as usual!), I thought I’d give the second one set by Kate over at WitWitWoo a go, even though I don’t really ‘do’ the theme that was set – Fashion or Beauty. I’m basically rubbish at beauty and well, pretty much the same at fashion! I had to have a think for this one, but I came up with something in the end – although it’s still a short one and the others I have seen so far have been longer. But …

A to Z of Family – F is for Father

I know that my boys most likely will never call their Daddy ‘Father’ but it does still fit with the theme, and I used a different one for the week of D so I thought I’d use it for this week as it is of course an important part of family. I know that my husband doesn’t think he is the best father sometimes – heck, I never think I’m the best Mummy either! – but to me, he is. He tries his best. J is very demanding, boisterous, temperamental lately and hubby doesn’t have as much patience with him as …
