Everyone loves a good cheesecake don’t they? If you don’t, what is wrong with you?! (Jokes). This is a cheesecake I made recently when my Mum brought us back a bottle of limoncello from her holiday. Ingredients (serves 6-8) 16 digestive biscuits 100 g butter, melted 500 g soft cheese 150 g caster sugar 50g icing sugar 200 g white chocolate, melted 3 tbsp limoncello, or lemon juice for a non boozy one zest of 1 lemon Method Line the bottom of an 8″ spring form cake tin and lightly grease. A to Z of Family – H is for (Little) Helper
Recently J has become a real little helper for Mummy. I say he helps, he attempts to but with some things I let him then just do it again when he’s not looking… Though sometimes his help is really more of a hinderance! I do appreciate the thought though and that he just wants to be like Mummy. Some of the jobs he likes to help with: dusting sweeping the floor cleaning accidents on the carpet fetching nappies putting nappies in the bucket putting toys away taking the dishes away (which always nearly gives me a mild heart attack when …
Weight loss – the beginning (again)
After J arrived and before I fell pregnant with N, I started blogging about my weight loss journey which was actually round two as I lost around 50 lbs before I fell pregnant with J, but throughout the last 2.5 years I have regained most of that, to my dismay (but with nobody else to blame but myself). Meal Planning Monday – 4th August
Last week I managed to stick to the meal plan for 6 out 7 days (or 5 out of 6 if you don’t count Saturday). Only Thursday didn’t go to plan as J & I fell asleep before tea time and hubby didn’t wake us up. Then when I did wake up at 7 pm, I tried to wake J for some tea but he just moaned so we put him to bed and he didn’t wake until morning! So hubby & I had a cheeky takeaway, oops… Meal plan for w/c 4th August: Monday – Pesto, tomato, mozzarella & spinach puff …
Camilia oral solution – teething relief
As a parent, teething is a horrible thing to see our babies go through, no matter what their age. With J, his first tooth didn’t come through until he was 9 months old, but looking back I think he was teething from around 10 weeks old. He had a couple of the usual signs – hand biting, dribbling – but though I kept checking for teeth emerging I never actually saw any until then. With N, although all babies are different, I have to be honest that I was expecting pretty much the same. But, I think he started teething …
