I’m Stacey, a bookworm (or should that be dragon?!) from a quaint hamlet on the outskirts of Lincolnshire. In my late 30s, I’m a devoted mum to two wonderful boys who are both autistic—a unique aspect that makes them different, not less. Unique Planners by Pirongs review - Life Planner

November seems to be the month where I begin to fill in my diary for next year. Being the organiser of the family, I need a really big planner. Health Lifestyle Slimming World Weight Loss

Slimming World weigh in – the one where I’m almost there…

Last week I was pretty happy with my loss of 2lb; it meant I only had 2.5lb to go until target, and I was hoping to get it this week. My head has been really in it and I was so determined to stay on plan. Honestly, some days all I wanted to do was eat chocolate and cake, and I almost caved… But I stayed strong and didn’t! I went for fruit and yogurt or fromage frais instead, maybe some Choc Shot for that chocolate hit. I haven’t done any EESP days again this week, but I have eaten a lot …

Joosed! Junior | Review & giveaway (CLOSED)

My boys love the occasional ‘special juice’ which sometimes contain a lot of added sugar, so they don’t have them all of the time. Just as a treat every so often, which I don’t mind. But when Bensons The Juicers got in touch with me to see if the boys would like to review some of their Joosed! Junior juices, I had a read up on them and thought they sounded healthier than others. Pure fruit juice, mixed with spring water. That’s it. Our fruit is shaken from the trees, not stirred in a factory. Den-making and tree climbing is …

Once again I’m a bit late with this update. I haven’t been feeling great; I’ve been feeling pretty low actually. And also, my laptop has decided it doesn’t want to work with me any more. Well, the hard drive has, anyway. So I’m writing this on a PC, which I haven’t actually used one of for ages, so it’s a bit weird. I can see more of the screen as my laptop is widescreen and this monitor isn’t, and the keyboard keys are smaller so I’m making even more typos than usual; good job I actually check for them before I …

How to beat the debt cycle

Debt isn’t really a conversation anyone enjoys having. In fact, the very thought of it can send a shudder, and certainly owing money is a burden that can weigh anyone down. But it seems the UK has a rather severe issue on this front. Indeed, latest statistics show that total unsecured debt has soared to £270 billion this year, which in turn means that each household is, on average, facing unsecured debt of £10,000. Perhaps what is most troubling of all about this research is that around 60 per cent of this debt is still being held on credit cards, …
