I posted last week about our Easter plans and what the boys had to find in their Easter basket – we managed to fit everything in and had a really fun Easter and ended up with lots of goodies (I got a pack of Reese’s Easter bunnies which was just fine for me!).
My boys definitely take after their Mummy & Daddy – they love food and barely ever stop eating. Despite them snacking through the day – usually on fruit – we have a set snack time falling between 10am & 10.30am where they will sit down together and share a small plate of various snacks; it also gives me a chance to get a few jobs done as they rarely fight when they are eating! J often asks for treats (sweets or chocolate!) but I prefer to give them something such as fruit, rice cakes, crackers, bread sticks or small cubes of …
After last week’s weigh in and an expected gain from J’s birthday festivities, I decided to knuckle down, go back to basics, and get right back on plan – all of which I (nearly) managed to do. As I gained 2lb last week I decided I wanted to lose that plus an extra pound so I made sure I ate lots of speed food. I had nothing to knock me off track – well, apart from chocolate fudge brownies and ice cream at the weekend, but that was the only ‘naughty’ I had all week that was out of my syns. But …
Last year was the first year that we were a family of four. N was only a few weeks old, but I made an Easter basket – well, actually a papier mache chicken – for J, so I thought I would carry on the tradition and do another one this year. I have left it rather late, though, so the boys have one between them, as I don’t think N will really be interested – I’m not sure how well that will go in theory, though!
Before we had children, hubby & I didn’t really celebrate Easter or do anything for it – apart from buy each other lots of chocolate and stuff ourselves silly with it!
