Chocolate, cherry & almond wreath recipe

Bread week. I may have mentioned before, but I hate bread week. Me and bread making just do not mix. Nevertheless, I joined in anyway as I want to try and do every week this year! During the show on Wednesday, I decided I must be crazy as I was actually considering doing the technical for the third week in a row. But then chocolate bread won me over so I went with the signature. I’ve never really made bread from my own recipe so I went searching my old friend Mr Google and came across Paul Hollywood’s chocolate and cherry …

An update and a ConfidentNites sleep retreat with DryNites #ad

I mentioned in my last DryNites ConfidentNites post that some of my fellow ambassadors and I were very lucky to be invited along to a sleep retreat at the amazing Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa. Slimming World weigh in – the one where it’s getting closer…

I was bit gutted after last week’s weigh in because I am so close to target now and I don’t want to be heading back the other way! I really tried to pull it back this week, and one day at the weekend I made sure I had no other syns so I could try these whirls I made for the bake off – they were delicious 😉 Plenty of speed food was eaten – having fruit every day for breakfast really helps with that actually, and also salads for lunch. It also leaves my healthy extras for snacks. As it’s getting towards …

I ruled out the showstopper immediately though, I couldn’t be bothered with the fuss of a biscuit story construction! After last week’s bake though, I’m surprised I was still considering doing another technical. After watching the show, I did decide on the technical again – I must be mad! I’ve never made Viennese whirls before so this one was yet another new challenge for me. Once again I used Mary’s Berry’s recipe, but …

Our jewellery loves

As a teen I used to wear a watch all of the time, I felt lost without one. And then for some reason I just stopped, and it’s only recently I have started wearing one again. Whereas The Husband, he always wears a watch so he owns more than me! I do own a lot of jewellery, though I am more of a kitsch jewellery kind of person. Although sometimes, it’s nice to wear something more luxury and delicate, for special occasions for example. I’m sure everybody has a piece of jewellery that is their favourite. The Husband bought me a …
