So week 2 has been and gone and here I am into week 3. Like last week, I started the beginning of the week doing well then went downhill; and then again, I had a couple of emotional days and either continuously ate, or ate junk. I wish I was one of those people who went off food instead. The weekends are still going well with the Monday weigh in causing me not to pig out. I didn’t even do as much walking last week as I was so tired for one reason or another and I just couldn’t be bothered to …

Meal Planning Monday – 25th August
My meal plan from last week went to plan other than on Friday. We visited hubby’s Nan at lunchtime and Father-in-law bought us fish & chips for lunch so we just had sandwiches for dinner. On Saturday we had naan bread pizzas though as I didn’t have any pizza bases nor any yeast to make some – they were delicious though! I only have half a meal plan this week because we go away on Friday, so there won’t be one for the whole of next week either. Meal plan for w/c 25th August: Monday – Minted lamb kofta kebabs, broad bean …
Recipe – Sun-dried tomato & red onion topped focaccia (#GreatBloggersBakeOff2014)
I don’t often bake bread as I’m a much better baker of sweet items, but I needed wanted to join in with the #GreatBloggersBakeOff2014 again so I thought I’d attempt something which I’d made before – focaccia (though it was much better last time – this was a rush job in the end!). Ingredients (serves 4) 450 g strong white flour 1 sachet fast action yeast 1 tsp sea salt 250 ml warm water 4 tbsp olive oil 1 …

So I’m on a roll at the minute and managed to get Week 5 of the #vlogchallenge both recorded and edited today, and I even managed to upload it! I know what will be happening for week 6, but I’m not quite sure when I will get around to filming it so you will have to watch this space. The prompt for Week 5 was ‘What’s In My Bag?’, so this one was easy (other than the outtakes, stay tuned at the end to see them!):
Bonding with baby
I recently happened to come across a statement on social media where basically, someone had said that breastfeeding gives you more of a bond with your baby than formula feeding does. This is something which has irritated me before so I thought that now was about the right time to blog about it. I shouldn’t need to state, but this is not at all a dig at breastfeeding as I actually managed a few weeks myself, it’s purely the statement and the derivation of it. With little man J, we didn’t take to breastfeeding, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t bond …
