#TimeToTalk Day 2016

Today is #TimeToTalk Day. Time to talk about mental health with no stigma attached. I think it is so sad that as a population we feel that we can’t talk openly about mental health. Chances are, if you have never suffered mental health issues yourself, then you know someone who has. Openly or not. I’m one of those that feels comfortable talking openly about it. I suffer with anxiety and depression. Plain & simple. But it’s not always so plain and simple. If you know somebody is suffering, please make the time to talk. Even a simple “How are you?”. …

Glasses from SpecsPost.com | Review

As a spectacle wearer of around 20 years, I have gone through no end of pairs of glasses. The ones I had when I was younger – awful. As I became more able to make my own decisions on the glasses I would like to wear, it became easier with the vast amount of styles available to try on. Blog Jacob Preschooler

Jacob at 3 years 10 months old

Wow. I thought I had better write an update on Jacob as I have been (kind of) keeping up with then for Noah, and I knew it was a while since I last wrote one, but, I didn’t think it was this long! Slimming World weigh in #49 – the one where I’m on it…

So after last week and my non scale victory, it really spurred me on to get my head right back in it. I was on plan every day apart from Saturday when we had an impromptu pizza feast at my brother-in-law’s, but after that I tried my hardest to pull it back rather than just thinking “Sod it!”. Apart from Saturday, I was within my syns every day which I think made a difference as it’s a been a while since that has happened. I still had another 5lb to go until my pre Christmas weight so I was hoping …
