I’m Stacey, a bookworm (or should that be dragon?!) from a quaint hamlet on the outskirts of Lincolnshire. In my late 30s, I’m a devoted mum to two wonderful boys who are both autistic—a unique aspect that makes them different, not less. Recipe/Tutorial – ‘Home Sweet Home’ Victoria sponge celebration cake #GBBOBloggers2015

So the Bake Off final. Everybody reading this must have watched it, right? I knew who I wanted to win (Nadiya), though I think they all made amazing showstoppers! It made me get my thinking cap on about what I was going to produce for the Bloggers final. I never managed to join the final last year so I didn’t want to miss out this time, though I know I am up against some brilliant competition! I knew I was going with a showstopper classic British cake, and I had a few ideas before I actually took inspiration from a …

Slimming World weigh in #35 – the one where my butt gets kicked

You may I have noticed I have been absent from blog weigh ins again for the last few weeks. There are reasons for this which I will update on in another blog post soon, but now I am finally getting back into the swing of things – blog wise anyway – I thought I better post my latest one! Review – Thomas & Friends My First Rail Rollers Spiral Station

Both boys are at that age now where they are starting to share – and argue – over toys; though they have plenty to be going along with they always want what the other has, of course! He was recently asked to review this brilliant toddler toy, perfect for newly instated toddlers! It is part …

You may have noticed I haven’t joined in with the Bake Off for a few weeks (the last time was with my rainbow frangipane tart for which I received star baker!). First we moved house and then the following week my father-in-law passed away so I’ve had a lot going on, plus we have only just had internet installed so I’ve only had a mobile connection and haven’t even opened my laptop until yesterday. Anyhow, I really wanted to join in with chocolate week and after watching the show I immediately knew I was going to make a chocolate tart. …

Slimming World weigh in #32 – the one where I'm losing my mojo…

After my maintain last week I was quite determined that I would weigh less this week. I was on plan more than I was last week but we did still end up having a takeaway or two, though I did pull it right back. I’ve managed to still lose before when this has happened so I guess I thought I was ‘safe’ and therefore just kept plodding on amidst being back & forth to our new house, packing, and running after the boys; so a lot of energy being used as well! Some of my on plan meals from this …
