If you are a regular reader of this blog then you will know that we have had major problems with Jacob’s bed time routine in the past and though it has improved, we still have a great deal of trouble sometimes and he delays it as much as possible. This is now rubbing off on Noah and I have a feeling we will be going through the exact same ordeal at some point! They do have a staggered bed time; Noah goes half an hour earlier than Jacob – one of the reasons for this was so that Jacob had …
Noah at 1 year 10 months old
So a new year and it’s time for another Noah update; I suppose this year I should try and make a blogging resolution to actually keep up with them for both boys! I cannot believe he will be two this year; very soon, in fact! He is really growing up into a proper little boy now and is becoming more and more like his brother every day, though I’m not sure if that’s a totally good thing or a totally bad thing; maybe just a mixture of the two. He definitely has an ultra fiery personality though, much worse than …
A year in reflection | 2015
The year of 2015 ended up being a really busy, eventful year for us. At the beginning of the year I had decided I’d had enough of being fat & unhealthy and I just didn’t have the motivation to lose weight on my own, so even though I was dealing with quite bad anxiety at the time but inspired my friend who shared her story over on the blog last summer, I headed to my local Slimming World group and have routinely shared my progress. Was anybody lucky enough to receive a bottle of a certain gorgeous Irish tipple from Santa? Well if not, then you may just want to buy some anyway for this delicious recipe. I actually made this for one of our bake club meetings earlier in the year, with the theme being ‘a surprise’. The surprise hidden inside this cheesecake is an absolutely perfect match to the Baileys Chocolat Luxe and it adds to the creaminess. I guarantee you will want to go back for seconds with this, although it is rather sweet & sickly, but then all great things are! Ingredients …
Giveaway – 1 of 20 Olive it! recipe books (CLOSED)
I haven’t always been a fan of olives. I still can’t eat them on their own, but I don’t mind if they are served with something else. I don’t eat them often either but after being introduced to the Olive It! recipe book then they might be a more regular inclusion in my food choices. There are some really delicious looking recipes inside that I would have never thought to try before, for example the red-hot tapenade manchego whirls (I was sold on cheese), olive and tuna pate, and olives with mango, melon and pomegranate (yummy). Olives on their own …
