I’m Stacey, a bookworm (or should that be dragon?!) from a quaint hamlet on the outskirts of Lincolnshire. In my late 30s, I’m a devoted mum to two wonderful boys who are both autistic—a unique aspect that makes them different, not less. My Valentine’s Tech Wish List

Valentine's tech wish list

I’m sure we all know that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner as we cannot avoid the masses of chocolate, teddies and flowers popping up everywhere – but I don’t want any of that! I must admit I am usually rather anti-Valentine but if somebody my husband was to surprise me with a gift of something from the tech world, I would be over the moon at that! You can give me that over hearts & flowers any day. Just in case my husband is watching, here are the top three items on my tech wish list: Panasonic Lumix …

#TimeToTalk Day 2016

Today is #TimeToTalk Day. Time to talk about mental health with no stigma attached. I think it is so sad that as a population we feel that we can’t talk openly about mental health. Six whole months ago! Even the photo from then, he has changed so much. I always mention Jacob’s behaviour in his updates as we have had many troubles and you may remember we went on a course to try and help deal with it. We have been so consistent with lots we learned since then – well, I have anyway …

Slimming World weigh in #50 – the one where I hit a brick wall again…

After having a pretty good weigh in last week I was determined to try and get that other 3lb off this week in order to get back to my pre Christmas weight. It doesn’t seem so hard in the grand scheme of things, does it? I was actually doing okay for the couple of days after weigh in, then I hit rock bottom emotionally and ate all kinds of junk. Just some of it being a Chinese takeout, half a layer of a box of Thorntons chocolates, and half a bag of sharing M&M’s – yes, that bad. It was those …
