I’m Stacey, a bookworm (or should that be dragon?!) from a quaint hamlet on the outskirts of Lincolnshire. In my late 30s, I’m a devoted mum to two wonderful boys who are both autistic—a unique aspect that makes them different, not less. Our April | Trains, crafts, and pre-school

Our April - trains, crafts, pre school

It’s a miracle – I’m actually writing our April favourites at the beginning of the following month, instead of the end! Now Noah has started pre-school, I have three mornings a week to get more work done – not that it’s actually happened, mind… The first week of April was pretty jam packed. Half term had started and The Husband had a week off, so we had a few days out. He was back to work for the second week of half term so it was just me and the boys. We didn’t really go out anywhere (hello anxiety, and …

Recipes and Readly | Review

A few years ago, I used to be really big on reading magazines. Gossip and food related magazines were my go-to’s, but I can’t remember the last time I actually bought a magazine that wasn’t my regular Slimming World one; other than buying comics for the boys! Doing the Bacofoil Baco-Shake!

How many times have you roasted vegetables in the oven and they’ve stuck to the tray? Cooked chips and you lose half of most of them because they’ve stuck down? Baked fish fingers and the coating gets left behind when you try to remove them? I often have this problem and it’s a little bit annoying because I love my food, so obviously I want every single last morsel off that tray! Not to mention the fact that those bits that stick, are hard to remove when washing too and you need to give the tray a good scrub! Well, …

Totally tropical coconut smoothie | Recipe

In one of my recent Degustabox parcels, I received a carton of coconut milk alternative to milk. I don’t normally buy this, so other than using it in coffee, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it. As the boys are a fan of smoothies, it gave me an idea. Add some pineapple and mango, blitz it up in a blender, and make a totally tropical coconut smoothie! The lime juice gives it a little extra kick, and the chia seeds add extra natural goodness.

Baking with Cadbury Creme Eggs | #CremeEggHuntingSeason

One of my favourite things about Easter is Creme Eggs. Pretty much every time I go to the shop, I must buy at least one. I’ve decided that this year I’m going to stock up before they disappear from the shelves again! After all, #CremeEggHuntingSeason isn’t around for long, and they will be soon be hard to find… It was only last year that I discovered baking with them, with these Scotch Brownie Creme Eggs. This year, I was armed with the task of recreating some different Creme Egg recipes and sharing them with my readers. I never realised all of the different …
