Today is World Prematurity Day, and I am honoured to be taking part in the blogging event along with Bloggers Unite & March Of Dimes. Today I’m going to be writing about a close friend whom some of my readers will be aware of. If you don’t already read her blog, I highly recommend doing so. Before I started thinking about TTC, and started using the Conception & Fertility boards of the forum I was a member of at the time, although I was aware of prematurity, I didn’t really ‘know’ anybody who had been through it. That was, until I started …
Consultant appointment
We had our first consultant appointment today, after being referred because of my BMI. Was quite a short appointment, and we didn’t actually see the consultant, but one of his staff. I had to do a urine sample when I got there, the results from this were fine. Then had my blood pressure taken, this was also fine. Then just went through a bit of history, like medical problems, procedures etc., obviously mentioned about the PCOS, then she asked whether we had fallen pregnant naturally or with help, I obviously mentioned the clomid then, then she wanted to know how …
23 weeks (and a bump pic)
Yesterday was 23 weeks! Nearly at ‘V Day’, next week… Not much to report I’m afraid after only posting 22 week update on Thursday! I was in quite an emotional teary state over the weekend though, I think partly this is because the miserable cold weather and early dark nights are getting me down, like they do other people; I don’t usually suffer too much but obviously more emotional and hormonal this year so it’s affecting me a bit more! Also, I’ve been having those ‘I’m going to be a rubbish Mummy and do everything wrong’ thoughts! I suppose it’s …
22 weeks
Well I have neglected you for a over a week, since last Tuesday, how awful of me! The Sunday just passed saw me entering my 22nd week of pregnancy! I’m afraid I haven’t really got much to report this week in regards to the pregnancy… Apart from the random, strange & scary dreams are back… Just a couple from this week – a crazy ghost woman invaded my dream and started flapping the duvet and was kicking my belly, woke up in tears with this one, was incredibly scary – of course in the dream husband slept through, and when …
Anomaly scan
Yesterday we had our 20 week anomaly scan. I’m sure you all know by now that we wanted to find out the gender, and luckily baby had their legs uncrossed and let us see! Baby G is a…. BOY! Mummy’s instinct was right! (As was the old wives tales gender predictor, the astrological balance predictor, gender swaying BD timing, and the Baby Centre gender predictor) We are absolutely over the moon, I can’t stop smiling! Now, since I can remember, I always imagined myself having a baby girl, until I was actually pregnant, from about 6 or 7 weeks I …
