I’m Stacey, a bookworm (or should that be dragon?!) from a quaint hamlet on the outskirts of Lincolnshire. In my late 30s, I’m a devoted mum to two wonderful boys who are both autistic—a unique aspect that makes them different, not less. I also share my home with my husband and Barney, my lovable Frenchie x Beagle.

First family gathering

On Saturday we went to our first large family gathering with the little man, so the perfect opportunity to show him off! (A decision which I lived to regret slightly…) It was hubby’s Nan’s 90th birthday party, so there were a few of my in-laws attending, and people neither of us had ever met before.  It started at 1pm, and we were running a little late (I’m getting better with my timings and adding extra time for baby issues, a little more practice needed though!), so we arrived with the parents-in-law about 1.15pm. Breastfeeding guilt

Breastfeeding guilt. Something which a lot of women suffer from. I’m one of them right now.  I managed 24 hours of breastfeeding with little man. I had pretty much fallen off the wagon though, and was just about to get back on it as it was getting me down, when we got our BFP. I climbed back aboard for a few weeks, when I couldn’t really stomach eating much anyway, and did a bit of walking, and then just lost all control and started eating anything & everything, and …

Things I don’t miss about pregnancy

Following on from my previous post on things I miss about pregnancy, I thought I’d write about what I don’t miss! No matter what people say, there is always going to be something every person doesn’t like, or complains about. I didn’t think I would complain after what we went through, but I did! Although not much in public, and mainly towards the end… Having to go to the toilet every 15 minutes. Especially places where there were a lack of toilets. And getting up 3 or 4 times during the night to go! A painful bump while trying to put shoes/socks …
