I’m Stacey, a bookworm (or should that be dragon?!) from a quaint hamlet on the outskirts of Lincolnshire. Race For Life

Every two minutes someone in the UK is told they have cancer. My betting is, the majority of us probably know one of these people. Or know someone who knows one of these people. Or both. Both apply to me. I’ve posted previously that my mother-in-law defeated breast cancer a few years ago, but unfortunately this horrible disease found its way back. We don’t know how long she will have left, hopefully another few years. However long, we are making the most of it. My Uncle recently passed away from cancer too. The Lullaby Trust

Today I happened upon the message that the FSID charity has changed its name, to The Lullaby Trust.  The Lullaby Trust is charity which supports families who have been bereaved by SIDS, and offers advice & support on safer baby sleep.  As a parent I am always worrying about little man as he is sleeping, and constantly checking on him. All children react differently, but he has had a pretty bad reaction, rash wise anyway. Here is just part of it: He also has it like this over his chest, and it’s spread to his neck, face, legs, hands, and feet. Other than this, the only other reaction he’s had is fatigue and tiredness (he’s had his gastroenteritis but that was unrelated, and this reaction overlapped with it).  We took him to the doctors today …

Can somebody give my boy a break, please? Pretty much since his birthday, he’s been ill.  First he had a cough & cold. Yep, can deal with that, Calpol usually does the trick.  And then the beginning of last week he was rather grumpy. Some ear pulling was going on too. Then I noticed discharge in his ear. Off to the GP we went. Ear infection. Amoxicillin was given for that. Then Thursday it was his injection day, including his MMR. I admit I thought he was going to scream the place down, but no, he flinched at the first …
