Every two minutes someone in the UK is told they have cancer. My betting is, the majority of us probably know one of these people. Or know someone who knows one of these people. Or both. The Lullaby Trust
Today I happened upon the message that the FSID charity has changed its name, to The Lullaby Trust. The Lullaby Trust is charity which supports families who have been bereaved by SIDS, and offers advice & support on safer baby sleep. As a parent I am always worrying about little man as he is sleeping, and constantly checking on him. I still don’t get a full nights sleep because I’m constantly waking up ‘just in case’. MMR reaction
When little man’s appointment came through for his 1 year injections, there was no doubt in my mind that he would be having his MMR one. All children react differently, but he has had a pretty bad reaction, rash wise anyway. Here is just part of it: He also has it like this over his chest, and it’s spread to his neck, face, legs, hands, and feet. Other than this, the only other reaction he’s had is fatigue and tiredness (he’s had his gastroenteritis but that was unrelated, and this reaction overlapped with it). Give my boy a break
Can somebody give my boy a break, please? Pretty much since his birthday, he’s been ill. First he had a cough & cold. Yep, can deal with that, Calpol usually does the trick. And then the beginning of last week he was rather grumpy. Some ear pulling was going on too. Then I noticed discharge in his ear. Off to the GP we went. Ear infection. Amoxicillin was given for that.
