After last week’s half expected gain I was determined this week that I was getting that new shiny and I went away from group feeling positive, even though I was 2lb heavier. I think that’s because I knew where it had come from though. I was on plan all week, except for a cinema trip on Saturday when I had popcorn – I did go for Metcalfe’s Skinny though! – and I also had a few of hubby’s Magic Stars. (By the way, we went to see Ghostbusters, and despite my doubts beforehand, I thought it was brilliant; a refreshing change from the male action movies!).
Though I’ve stuck to plan, I have struggled as my oven is broken. It doesn’t want to go any higher than 110c which makes it really difficult to cook anything in it unless I put it in 3 hours beforehand! I do have a new one coming but until then it is still hob, grill, microwave, and slow cooker, sigh.
Some of my meals from this week (as you can see, I’ve also discovered the Photofy app!):
I went to weigh in feeling quite confident as I knew I’d had a good week and done all I could. I stepped on the scales and was amazed to see a 3.5lb loss! Like a couple of weeks ago I jumped off the scales with claps! I think that’s the most I’ve ever lost in one week, but I do know that it was my first week loss too – if only every week could be like that, hey?! We’d all be at target in no time!
My stats for this week (week 73)
- starting weight – 13st 4.5lb
- previous weight – -10st 0.5lb
- current weight – 9st 11lb
- loss this week – 3.5lb
- loss so far – 3st 7.5lb
- Club 10 target weight – 11st 13.5lb
- final target weight – 9st 3lb
I also want to share that hubby joined a Slimming World group last week, and on his first weigh in this week, he had lost 9lb! Very proud of him!

That’s a great loss! Well done, and well done hubby too! 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
