Up until a couple of years ago my Christmas decor included a lot of pink & silver. I used to be obsessed with everything pink but nowadays I’m not so fussed.
When J came along and we started getting decorations relating to him and his name, I decided that I wanted to go for a more traditional, ‘collected along the way’, homely look. And now we just have a mish mash of decorations on our tree! Home-made ones, personalised ones, hand-made by other people ones, novelty ones, traditional ones, and a few I’ve kept behind from my last ‘style’. I really love my tree now.
I’m also a little obsessed with Christmas signs and if we had the space I’d have a lot more!
We don’t have a fireplace or much space for displays but I love this little one made from a few things I’ve collected along the way – I love my penguins.
And we also have this advent calendar which is new to us this year but I absolutely love already as it’s personal to us and we will use it year upon year.
I always think the house looks so bare after Christmas though, and it’s a drop back down to Earth as you realise it’s another 11 months until we can do it again! (Or even less for those that put decorations up in October…)
