March Degustabox | Subscription Box Review

March Degustabox

The March Degustabox was one of the seasonal boxes; being the Easter box! So I was looking forward to lots of yummy treats, and I wasn’t disappointed. I think this one was one of my favourite boxes yet.

So what was inside the March Degustabox?

March Degustabox contents

Heinz [Seriously] Good Sauces (Tomato & Garlic)

I’ve used a lot of Heinz products but I haven’t come across this one previously. We used this with two different dishes; one as a pasta sauce with chicken and veg, and one mixed with chicken & rice as a super quick meal. It was really flavoursome, very creamy, and it would be great as a dip too.

Pipers Crisps (Cider Vinegar & Sea Salt)

I’ve bought Pipers Crisps before and I’ve never been disappointed; I absolutely love them. I haven’t had this flavour previously though. They were very moreish, not at all tangy from the vinegar but a really smooth taste. The Husband or the boys didn’t get to share any of these; they were all mine!

Naturelly (Apple & Blackcurrant)

I thought this was a really great concept, making drinks fun for children. It was sort of a runny jelly, and it’s probably better drank straight from the pouch as it doesn’t go far in a cup. Jacob really liked it, I thought it was okay, and Noah didn’t like it at all. It was naturally sweet which is always a plus when it comes to children.

Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo (Peanut Butter, Mint)

Dairy Milk is a brand I often go for but we haven’t tried the Oreo flavours. I was really looking forward to trying the peanut butter flavour as I love peanut butter and anything with it; but, I was quite disappointed with this one. It tasted quite strange and wasn’t moreish at all. The mint one though, was absolutely delicious but I was already sharing it with the Husband, otherwise I think I may have eaten it all!

Maldon Smoked Sea Salt Flakes

I love sea salt; not as sharp as fine salt, and it has a lovely crunch to it. I’ve never had smoked sea salt, and other than it being smoky, I wasn’t sure what to expect… Well, unsurprisingly, it was salty with a smokiness to it. A nice change to usual sea salt.

Weetabix On The Go (Blueberry & Blackberry, Vanilla)

I have actually tried Weetabix On The Go before, but quite a while ago. I really liked the fruity one, although both flavours really did just taste like a milkshake. They contain the same amount of energy, fibre and protein as two Weetabix and semi skimmed milk so they are great for a quick breakfast on the go, but they didn’t really fill me up for long.

Whitworths Super Cacao Raw Bars

I’ve had other brands of raw bars before, and I have actually made my own too, but I wasn’t aware that Whitworths made them. These were super tasty with all of the different ingredients, and a great alternative to an unhealthier chocolate bar.

Rebel Kitchen Chocolate Mylk

I didn’t actually get to taste any of this as the boys and The Husband drank it first – though I said I would like to try some, so thanks boys! 😉 But it seemed like they enjoyed it just like a usual chocolate milkshake.

Gusto Organic Lemon Energy

I was quite excited by this drink; it looked really vitalising and refreshing. I don’t know why, but I didn’t expect it to be fizzy like it was, so it then reminded of a cloudy lemonade; but a more premium version. It was lovely & refreshing straight from the fridge, too.

The Jelly Bean Factory

We all love jelly beans in this house, but surprisingly we’ve never had The Jelly Bean Factory! Some of these flavours were a little strange, but The Husband & I did manage to plough our way through them in a matter of minutes! I think if I wasn’t sharing, this 75g box could have done me a couple of sittings.

£onepounders Chocolate Eclairs

I usually find chocolate eclairs really chewy but these ones were softer. The outside was really creamy, with a lovely soft chocolaty centre. We kept these in the car for munchies, though they still didn’t last long as the boys enjoyed them too!

Westons Cider (Pure Hopped Cider, Caple RD Dry Cider Blend No 5, 5%)

I’m not really a “plain” cider drinker; I tend to prefer fruity ciders, but then drink them like pop! So drinking these was quite a refreshing change as they did last me a bit longer. I wasn’t so keen on the pure hopped cider; it was quite sweet but bitter at the same time. I did prefer the Caple and I think I could probably drink this one again.
